CULVER SUMMER SCHOOLS & CAMPS

Culver Woodcraft Camp is a six-week, all-activity camp designed for boys and girls, ages 9-13. Over 65 elective activities provide an unparalleled opportunity for young people to participate in leadership roles and develop self-confidence through a well-rounded program that provides personal and team accomplishment. Campers improve academic skills, compete in athletic activities, work toward awards and ribbons, and improve their overall sense of competence. They also develop an understanding of and appreciation for nature and other cultures—Culver Woodcraft Camp facilitates personal development by providing an opportunity to live with young people from all over the world.Culver Upper Camp is a six-week all-activity camp for young men and women, ages 13 to 17. Boys choose among the Aviation, Horsemanship and Naval Schools. Girls are organized into Decks and participate in the Schools’ of their choice. Upper Campers participate in daily electives (over 65 in which to choose), afternoon recreation or intramural competitions and evening social activities. Culver is an affiliate member of US Sailing, allowing campers to be certified in three types of sailing certifications. Our horsemanship department has over 90 horses with a renovated state-of-the-art riding hall and stable complex. Culver’s aeronautics program allows for flight simulation via computer and simulator, while also providing ground school. Culver Family Camp offers the opportunity to be a part of the rich tradition of Woodcraft Camp. Come and enjoy our many activities such as horseback riding, sailing, skeet shooting, Indian lore and dance, arts and crafts, the climbing tower, canoeing, swimming, golf, team sports, hayrides, rocketry, archery, tennis, and much more! Culver Junior Woodcraft Camp is five-day camp will run as close to the real experience as possible, revealing the fun and excitement of our day-to-day programs at Culver Woodcraft Camp. Junior Woodcrafters will follow a similar structure complete with activity rotations, cabin/unit games, evening activities and leadership opportunities. Culver Mini-Woodcraft Camp’s purpose is to expose children to the wonderful Culver Summer Schools & Camps program. Although this will only be a weekend experience, our goal is to shape the mini-camp as close to the real experience as possible, revealing the fun and excitement of our day-to-day programs. The campers will have opportunities to compete in various individual competitions and cabin games, make new friends with campers from near and far, participate in four exciting class periods, and to enjoy a sample of evening activities. All of this is wrapped up into one fun-filled weekend at our Mini-Camp here at Culver!
